He filled the last 33 years of his retirement with golf at Deer Trails Golf Club where he walked and carried. He also loved dancing, bowling, cards, cars, and Sudoku. His last social outing was to a fantasy football draft dinner; he served as secretary to the league for 30 years. As of today, his "team" is in first place. Dean had an eye for the analytical and was logical and fair in his dealings to a fault. He was proud of his family and his sons' successes.
Dean's family is especially grateful to the nurses and staff of The Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.
It was his wish that those who cared for him remember and celebrate his life and not his death. With respect for these wishes, the family will not be holding a memorial service but will honor him privately. In his memory , if desired, donation can be made to a favorite charity.
A.D. Campbell Funeral Home, 1326 Eighth Avenue, was in charge of the arrangements.
