Virginia Maxine Halas, age 95 of East Palestine, OH, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2Virginia Maxine Halas, age 95 of East Palestine, OH, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 at her daughter, Linda's residence.
Born February 24, 1925, in Montpelier, IN, a daughter of the late Guy Jarrett and Hazel Ruth (Dill) Love. She was a homemaker and seamstress having worked from home. She was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Rochester Women's Club, Secretary and Treasurer of USBC. She loved bowling, her Christian teaching and had a fantastic sense of humor.
She is survived by five children, Shirley Parks/Brown, Beaver Falls, Linda A (Bill) Smega, East Palestine, OH, Judy E Kohler, East Rochester, OH, Gerry K. (Tom) Kraynie, Morrison, CO and Paul E Halas, Beaver Falls, PA , grandchildren, Darcy Mihalinac, Ted G. Parks, Jr., Michael J. Parks, Richard A. Halas, Raymond W. Smega, Keith L. Halas, Jessica K. Blinn, Trisha N. Deibel, Kevin F. Pflugh, Jeremy Kohler, Kayla R. Kraynie, Kelly J. Kraynie, and numerous great grand children, a great great grandson, brother and sisters, Laverne Winans, Dorothy Jester, Margaret Slentz, Betty Rinker and Myron (Sherry) Love all of Indiana, three half sisters, Irene Lutherbeck, Marolyn Love and Carolyn McDugle all of Haskell, OK and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband, Louis John Halas and a son Raymond L. Halas, brothers and sisters Gerald Love, Leah Love, Harold Love, Keith Love, Larry Love and Mary Jean Carver.
Friends will be received Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 10:00AM until the time of service in the Concord United Methodist Church, 285 Concord Church Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 with Rev. John Magargee officiating.
Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery.
