Shirley Ann Edwards, age 78, of Darlington, PA, went home to spend eternity with her Lord on Saturday, November 16, 2024. She was born on August 27, 1946 to Raymond and Helen (Joseph) Hall. Shirley spent her life in service to her faith from 35 years of being secretary treasurer of Fishers of Boys Ministries in Darlington, PA to cleaning the church, dorms, and preparing meals and banquets for church events.
Her and her husband, Donnie, raised their kids to work hard for your family and help anyone in need if you can, from family to a stranger on the street.
She enjoyed blowing the shofar to start the Sunday service at the Rock Christian Fellowship in Rochester, PA, working in her shed making beautiful crafts, going to yard sales and mowing grass. She also enjoyed eating out, much to Donnie’s dismay, with her family and friends as often as she could.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 64 years, Donald Edwards, Sr., daughter Sherry (Edwards) Anderson; daughter Lisa (Edwards) Sutherin; sister and best friend, Linda (Hall) Grimm; four grandkids; Laura (Edwards) Cervi; Shaun Edwards; Robert Anderson; Thomas Sutherin; and two great grandkids, Kadynce; and Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by older sister Nancy (Hall) Spratly, and oldest son, Donald “Lil Donnie” Edwards, Jr.
Shirley’s loving grace will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her, none more than her family, especially Donnie. They were inseparable.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Christian Church, 160 Lacock Avenue and 4th Street, Rochester, PA 15074, officiated by Pastor Todd Smith. Arrangements are being cared for by Campbell’s Chippewa Funeral Home, Inc., 2618 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 (Randy R. Wheeler, supervisor, 724-843-2500).
