Melinda Henderson Renzo, age 77, born on August 25, 1947, in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, in Beaver, Pennsylvania.
Melinda was the beloved wife of the late Jim Renzo and the cherished daughter of William and Marjorie Henderson, all of whom preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her brothers, William Henderson Jr. and Jeffrey Henderson. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Mark Kemp (Sharon Brandon Kemp) and Jeffrey Kemp Rinderle; her grandsons, Brandon Kemp, Allen Rinderle, and Robert Rinderle; and her former spouse, Charles Kemp.
A proud graduate of Riverside High School, Melinda continued her education at Robert Morris College. She was instrumental in starting a family business, and her professional life was distinguished by many years of dedicated service at Beaver Internal Medicine Associates. Melinda shared an entrepreneurial spirit with her husband Jim as they co-founded J&M Gem Stones—a rock potpourri business they operated during their winters enjoying RV life in Florida.
Melinda was a volunteer at the Beaver Area Heritage Museum, where she found great joy in preserving local history for future generations.
Music brought immense happiness to Melinda’s life; she especially loved listening to Barbra Streisand and Andrea Bocelli. Her deep spirituality guided her through life’s challenges with grace and resilience. Known for her open-mindedness and acceptance of others, she built meaningful connections with those around her.
Family and friends were central to Melinda’s life. She cherished regular lunches with her high school friends and took pride in serving on her high school class reunion planning committee—an opportunity to celebrate lifelong friendships that meant so much to her.
A celebration to honor Melinda’s life is being planned for a later date.
Melinda’s warmth and strength left a lasting impression on all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her deeply and inspire them always.
