Maria Delitha (O'Leary) Green, 88, of Beaver Falls went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 25, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born July 26, 1929 in Camden, Mississippi, she was the eldest daughter of the late Joseph and Myrtle Lee (White) O'Leary. Delitha was the first African-American Registered Nurse in Beaver County. She worked at Providence Hospital and the Medical Center (Heritage Valley Beaver). She retired from nursing after 36 years of service in 1990. Delitha most of all enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Auguston "Gus" Green, Beaver Falls; one daughter, Susan M. (Green) Smith; three granddaughters: Shana M. Smith, Mallory O. Smith, and Sydney M. Smith; one great-granddaughter, Meilah D. Brimage all of Beaver Falls; five sisters: Mary Alice Thomas (East Orange, NJ), Lillie C. Robinson (Pittsburgh, PA), Edwina O'Leary (Chicago, IL), Minnie P. (Thurman) Odum (Beaver Falls), Annie L. O'Leary, (Colorado Springs, CO); a sister-in-law, Ida O'Leary (Camden, MS); a brother-in-law, Earmon (Joanne) Green (Newark, NJ); and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Willie E. O'Leary and Sylvester O'Leary; a sister, Emma Marie Raiford; and a son-in-law, Melvin O. Smith.

Friends will be received on Friday, March 2nd from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the A.D. Campbell Funeral Home, 1326 Eighth Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA. Prayers will be recited on Saturday morning at 9:20 AM followed by a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Monica Roman Catholic Church, Chippewa Twp., celebrated by Father Kim Schreck.
Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Big Beaver Boro.
