James V. Weido, 94, of Beaver Falls passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 3, 1923 in Clymer, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Angelina (Bruno) Weido. He was head pickler having worked for Republic Steel . He was an Army Veteran during WWII and was in Company B, 385th Infantry, 76th Division. He was in the battle of Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He received Decorations and Citations of the Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon and the World War II Victory Ribbon.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dena (Dugina) Weido and 10 Brothers and Sisters.
Surviving are his children: Francine (Dave) Ridenour, Bridgeville, PA, James P. (Susan) Weido, Beaver, PA and Donna (Walter) Stucky, Chippewa Twp., 9 Grandchildren, Dena (Philip) Soto, Stephanie (Neal) Bumgarner, Jennifer (Bernardo) DeJesus, Isabel (Erik) Johnson, Louis (Rachael) Didio, Andrew Didio, Andrew Weido, Christina Stucky and Jordan Didio and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Friends will be received Friday, December 15, 2017 from 5PM until 8PM in the A D Campbell Funeral Home, 14th St. and 8th Ave. Beaver Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 16, 2017 in St. Monica Roman Catholic Church, 116 Thorndale Drive, Chippewa at 11:30AM with Father James Farnan officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the church.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
