James W. Campbell, age 73, of Warren, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, peacefully in his home.
Born July 3, 1950, in Beaver Falls, PA, he was a son of the late Jesse Vernard Campbell Sr., and Donna J. Parker. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp and served in Vietnam. He worked for 41 years in the local steel mills of Warren, Ohio. He was retired and was enjoying life, his family and fur babies. He had a love of music and frequently attended concerts, he was a die-hard Steelers fan, and loved to travel. His love of his Scottish ancestry was strong. He had just recently taken the vacation of his dreams and was able to visit his beloved Scotland at Christmas time.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Campbell Jr., and a sister, Teresa Marburger, and many adored fur babies.
He is survived by his children, Mike Campbell (Dawn), and Lisa Frasier (Keith); grandchildren, Kristopher, Branden, L J, Cameron, Ali, Kiley, and Colton; two sisters, Debbie Campbell, and Betty Jean Campbell; two brothers, John Campbell (Sharon) and Jeff Campbell; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend, Jennifer Swegan (Russ). He also leaves behind his adored fur baby companions, Sydney and Gabby and grand fur babies, Petunia, and Daisy.
Family and friends will gather at Campbell’s Chippewa Funeral Home, Inc., 2618 Darlington Road, Chippewa Twp., PA 15010 (Randy R. Wheeler, supervisor, 724-843-2500) on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at Noon with Rev. Robert Saul officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
