James L. Boyce, Jr. (Jimmy), 51, of Ohioville, Pa, passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday morning, December 8, 2020 at UPMC North Hills after a lengthy illness with hyponatremia and a brief battle with stage 4 small cell carcinoma.
Born December 25, 1968 in Rochester, Pa, to James and Rose (Bevington) Boyce, Sr. He graduated from Western Beaver High school, class of 1988 and attended CCBC for welding. Jimmy worked as a welder at Industrial Terminal, IMS Midland for over a decade and IMS New Castle sites. In his spare time, Jimmy loved to be with his family, enjoyed the outdoors and nature, as well as riding his quad, working on vehicles and hunting and fishing at the cabin in Potter County. He will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laughter and gentle soul.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Rebecca Boyce; cherished niece, Chantel Boyce; aunt, Ruth Morgan; cousin, Dr. Sam Morgan (Dr. Sandra Rodkey, D.V.M.); friends, Sean (Donna) Roman, Chunk & Bella, Chuck (Sherry) Hockenberry, Andrew Kadilak, Justin Willison, Kevin (Sandy) Chaffee; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his canine companion, Cosmo.
He was preceded in death by numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private family visitation was held.
