Flora B. Barry, 92, of Beaver, passed away, Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.
Flora was born June 22, 1924 in San Antonio, TX and a daughter of the late John (Jake) and Ella L. Neff Saunders.
Flora was raised and married in Beaver Falls. She was a self taught Portrait Artist with many of her works hanging in the Pentagon, National Portrait Gallery of D.C., Las Vegas, Atlanta, GA, Daytona Beach, Geneva College, Park Ave, NYC, Toronto and all throughout Pennsylvania. President Reagan dedicated the portrait of General DeWitt at the National Defense University, Washington, DC.
Flora is survived by 3 sons , Merle Bruce Barry, Jr., FL, John Richard, West Aliquippa and a son and son in law, Donald Wayne Barry and Robert Booth, Beaver, 2 grandsons, Daniel Bruce Barry and Ryan Chandler Barry and 2 great grand children, Jaxon Barry and Harper Barry, 2 neices, Amy Marshall and husband Pete, Tonnette Tuma and husband Tom, 2 nephews, Steve Pawkovich and Christopher Gahles, two great-nieces; Kelly and Kim Tuma.
Flora was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Merle Bruce Barry, Sr., a sister Esther Pawkovich, a brother Harold Saunders, daughter in law, Mary Kay Barry, niece Peggy Gahles and her fur Friend "Angel".
Friends will be received, Sunday, January 8, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the A D Campbell Funeral Home, 14th St. and 8th Ave, where services will be conducted Monday, January 9, at 11am with Rev. Robert Saul officiating.
Private interment will be in Beaver Falls Cemetery.
