Christopher “Sabu” James Finnigan, 73, of Pittsburgh, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 with his two sisters by his side.
Born January 11, 1952, in Pittsburgh, PA to Thomas and Helen Finnigan, Chris was well known for his gift in the wood works. He could make anything you could think of from tables and plaques to a crossbow all by hand, with no power tools, just old school. He was musically inclined, and enjoyed playing songs by The Beatles on his guitar. He is also remembered for how kind he was to everyone who crossed his path. Chris was a community and family man, loved and respected by all. Chris also served two years with the United States Army as a Marksman and was very proud that he served his country, as a Vietnam War Veteran.
He is survived by two sisters; Gloria (Tim Black) Finnigan-Biega of Millvale, and Marsha Finnigan-Novick of Butler, Nieces; Jane Rhines, who was also his goddaughter, Katie Spare, and Crystal Richmond, Nephews; Richard Biega, Steve Tustin, and Ricky Novick, dear friend; Lynn Clark, and many great nieces and great nephews. Following his parents, Chris is preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Finnigan, nephew, Tony Biega, and brother-in-laws, Eddie Tustin and Jim Novick.
Per Chris’s wishes, no services will be held.
