Arlene E. Busch

Arlene E. Busch, age 97, of New Brighton, PA, died on Friday, October 20, 2023. She was born in Daugherty Township, PA on May 28, 1926 and is the daughter of the late George and Floy McDanel Wise, and the wife of the late Paul Busch. Arlene and her siblings grew up on a dairy farm in North Sewickley Twp, where they would help deliver milk on a horse drawn wagon. Arlene was employed at Ing-Rich during the war as a “Rosie the Riveter”, where she met her husband, Paul. She was also employed at Keystone Bakery, and later retired from Westinghouse. Arlene loved traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Arlene is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Paul) Mastalski of Freedom, PA; grandchildren, Scott (Courtney) Burnsworth; Ryan (Lisa) Burnsworth; Matt Mastalski; Sarah (Tim) Stewart; Jonathan Mastalski; great grandchildren, Brynn Burnsworth; Finn Burnsworth; Gavin Mastalski; Chase Mastalski; CJ Mastalski; Brody Mastalski; Colin Stewart; and Cora Stewart.

In addition to her parents and spouse, Arlene is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Burnsworth; and siblings, Raymond Wise; John Wise; and Dorothy Stiefel.

The family would like to thank the nursing and care staff at the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople for their exceptional care and kindness.

Family and Friends will gather at Campbell’s Chippewa Funeral Home, Inc., 2618 Darlington Road, Chippewa Twp., PA 15010 (Randy Wheeler, supervisor, 724-843-2500), on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon, when services will be held in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place at Grove Cemetery in New Brighton.
